A game to forget for the Hornets. After letting in a very soft goal within the first minute it was clear that it was not going to be their day. Vauxhall were given far too much time on the ball and were far more committed in the tackle.Vauxhall's added to their early goal after some poor defending enabled them to nip in a score a second.Vauxhall added two more before the break and confidence was ebbiing away.
The Hornets started with far more purpose in the second half and a fantastic shot from Adam Stanworth from at least 25 yards out rifled into the top corner. The celebration that followed was almost as good as the goal.
The Hornets then played some good football but were unable to break down a well drilled and skillful Vauxhall defence.
Then followed a five minute spell when nearly all the players went to sleep and Vauxhall's rattled four more to record a well deserved victory even though the scoreline was a little harsh on the team.
James Harker was Man of the Match for his tireless running throughout the game and going close with a number of efforts.
